Suitable for men aged 50 – 69 currently (More age ranges are coming soon.)

Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) testing is widely used as a first line screening test for prostate cancer in many healthcare systems. PSA is a protein released from the prostate and can rise with conditions such as prostate cancer, benign prostate hypertrophy, prostatitis and more.

Our PSA test returns a positive result when PSA levels are above 4.0 ng/mL, which is the current referral threshold in New Zealand for men aged 50–69 years to undergo further clinical assessment and investigation for prostate cancer.

The Truescreen PSA test comes with everything you need to test yourself at home – you get a result in 5 minutes without having to send it off to the lab.

By purchasing or using a Truescreen product, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Test results are provided for informational purposes only. They may help guide your understanding of your health but do not constitute a clinical diagnosis.
  • While we work exclusively with accredited laboratories and validated point of care technologies or manufacturers, no laboratory test, point of care test, or any medical test is perfect. Test results may occasionally be inaccurate or inconclusive, and you must always bear that in mind in any future decision making.
  • Screening tests can produce false negative results, where a condition is present but not detected, as well as false positive results, where a test is abnormal despite no underlying condition being identified on further investigation.
  • Screening tests are not 100% accurate. False positive and false negative results can occur. A normal result does not guarantee the absence of disease; an abnormal result does not confirm the presence of disease.
  • Results are highly dependent on correct use according to instructions.
